Yes....and No Winker
Carriage and VAT is not really up to them.
Parts, well yes. 6 years of storage and we know that spare parts usually cost more than the s/h value of products.
Labour, well, 67+VAT sounds like a lot, but then again, 1 hour of replacement-time and maybe another one for a short check if it works.
Probably wouldn't be much cheaper if your local electricians were to do it.

All in all, repairs are expensive and I would say it sounds like a normal estimate.

Would expect the same price for a spare part for a 999€ unit from Pioneer and would expect the same price for a 3999€ Naim unit.

Repairs are never reasonable.
Then again, they probably are more work for the manufacturer or rather the national distributor than producing a new unit somewhere in Asia.

I think the amounts quoted are reasonable, given that it appears the main DSP board needs replacing. The question is whether it's worth doing. That AV amplifier doesn't decode the high res BD audio streams. For a bit more than the quoted cost, you could have a capable brand new unit that does 'everything'. Sure, the amplifier section may not be as good but you'll have better DSP as well as the BD capabilities.

If you're not interested in BD then it's worth doing. If you are, then it's not and you should look at the current £800/£1000 offerings from the likes of Denon and Pioneer.
