Leaving eqt on without NACA5 connected

Posted by: silklee on 30 January 2003

For some domestic reasons, i had to remove my hifi from my room and put it somewhere else.

Due to space constraint, i moved my CD5, 92 and 90 to another place without the speaker cables connected. However i left them 3 items powered on as this seems to be the recommended practice.

However, without the speaker cables attached, am i doing more harm than good?

This arangement would be for about 5 days. Should i just off them or leave them on without the speaker cables attached?

I didn't think it was a good idea to leave Naim power amps on without connecting to speakers. The output stages don't like it.

This has been confirmed as OK before by Naim.

They're also safe left on with inputs not connected.

cheers, Martin
