Ray Charles

I'm new to Ray Charles music and saw the movie "Ray" a month or so ago and became interested in exploring more of his music. I picked up an original vinyl of his first recording with Atlantic records AMG as well as a DVD of a performance he did at the age of 32 called "Ray Charles - O Genio - Live in Brazil 1963" and found them very enjoyable.

I'm interested in suggestions for more of his recordings, particularly those on LP.

Thanks,
John

"The Genius After Hours" (Atlantic Masters)is interesting in that it's totally instrumental.

One that I am particularly fond of is a 1961 release on Impulse Records catalog number AS-2 called Genius+Soul=Jazz.
