Nait 2, pre or not ?

Hallo !

For a ½ year ago I borrowed a Nait 2 (old look) don’t know which year is was from.
But it got pre out.

And now I’m borrowing an second one for some testing vs. my Nait 1.
And this one hasn’t got any pre out and the phono-in is gold plated. The serial number on this says that it's from 1988. I think that Naim doesn’t use gold plated, or do they ?

I wonder if this one has been on service on Naim or another place. And why is there no pre-out?
