Liars - Todd Rundgren's first new material album for 10 years was released yesterday in the UK and Today in the USA. Plenty of recommended reviews so far, with Todd singing and playing all the Instruments too. Check here for Todd Stuff -
All Things ToddLooks like Todd will be touring from 1 April in the USA and visits the UK on 15 July (RFH).

Hi
I have a tix for Mr Todds RFH gig, they're selling very fast indeed, stalls almost gone. Strangely the first three rows aren't on sale.
The downside is Wilco are in town that night as well!

Nick,
After resisting getting ripped off at HMV last week, I'm just ordering now from CD WOW for the truely wizard sum of £8.99
I will not be able to compete with your (hippy toot
review of Stereolabs latest, but I'll do my best. It did force me to order it though, just waiting for the Hong Kong Postman to deliver it this week.

'Will the Liars be releasing an album called 'Todd Rundgren' ?'
Excellent - shades of Nick Lowe's album 'Bowi'.
The Todd CD has some brilliant songs/ arrangements, but sadly the production/computerisation makes it most suitable for the car or the trannie, not the big hifi.

Well, Tonights the Night at The RFH, I'll post a review tommorrow. If you are going to the Glasgow or Manchester gigs on Fri/Sat and would prefer to be surprised I'll delay. Just reply back here and we can swap our opinions.

Didn't get Mr Rundgren at all at the RFH last night. I went I thought with an open mind, but I just didn't connect. Must have been me cos the audience loved it. I thought the vocals were too indistinct the PA is often not too good in the RFH, although the Brian Wilson shows I've seen have been crystal clear.
I don't know too much of Rundgrens work, but I guess the first part of last nights show was the new album, the bit where he was dressed as Cardinal Wolsey, and the second bit old stuff?
I prefered the Cardinal Wolsey set, didn't need 15 mins or so of "Green Onions" from his band whilst Tod took a costume change and returned as Arthur Alexander.
It was an experience.
I'll be interested to read the reviews.
