The Final Cut Re-Release
Previously licensed to Sony outside of Europe, the album is now with EMI worldwide and has now been newly remastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plante to sound better than ever. As an extra bonus the new version also includes the single "When The Tigers Broke Free" which was first issued as a single in advance of the album's release and is now added to the album for which it was originally intended.

Scheduled release date is March 22, 2004 and will include a 14 page booklet with some new material.
Update: Europe release date now March 29, 2004. USA and Canada release date April 6, 2004.

A Fair Forgery of Pink Floyd
This "Tribute" Double CD is a must have for any Floyd Fan and I have enjoyed this immensely. Check here cdbaby for all the justified reviews. Here is an example:-
In a bold move, Yortoise stripped Money from its bass riff, revitalizing it in unbelievable ways. 50 Cent Haircut gives Breathe a double-speed alt-Hillbilly treatment, while Quetzal dives into a heart-ripping country rendition of Mother (cajon, accordion and a beautiful violin solo) and Graham Parker sits down with his guitar and pulls off an acoustic folk reading of Comfortably Numb.

One of the Bands featured on AFFOPF are the LA Pink Floyd Tribute Band Which Ones Pink? W1P
If you are on Holiday in LA during April you may be interested in seeing W1P with Led Zepagain on a double Bill (by the beach! in Malibu Smile). Check out the Web Site.

Mike,

I was a "little bit confused" and thought you were taking the "P" with your 4 word reply.
I was rather proud of my effort to link Malibu & Surfing, so I guess sensitivty set in.

As both yourself & count.d admit to being a Floydaholic's, I hope you can trust my unreserved AFFOPF recommendation as a no brainer. The $20 purchase + shipping from CD Baby is a snip and you get the best shipping acknowledgement email on the Net.

The Double CD is split into 1:"US" (Experimental stuff) & 2: "THEM" (Traditional). The LA Musicians on show are top notch and I enjoy this more than the Official "Echoes" compilation.
