Re: Uncle Jerry Boxed Set

This will go straight to the top half of the Division 1 Wants League as opposed to the Premiership Must Have ASAP Championship.

Thanks for the posting.

Ben and Jerry brought out an ice cream called 'Cherry Garcia' in tribute to the great man.

Don't know if it's still available.

Jez & Company-

This release may be a bit much for those music lovers totally unfamiliar with Jerry's work, but it covers a wonderful set of albums that were never really given their due in my opinion. Especially his mid 70's release "Compliments of Garcia", which is all very tasteful covers, is a very different side of Garcia's musical personality than the more sprawling portions of the Dead's work. The people handling the Dead's archival releases are also making great efforts to present the material in splendid sonics, so this is very much a "MUSTHAVE" Release, at least for this unrepenent Deadhead.

If you are a completist, the Garcia Estate is offering a bonus disc if you purchase the set from the <Jerrygarcia.com> website.

Good listening!
