72/140/Hi-Cap Equivalent

Anyone care to offer an opinion on a combination of current production Naim gear sonically equivalent to this highly regarded combo?

Physically we start with Hicap mk2. The 140 has been replaced with the full-sized 150. However, the preamp is the difficulty. Some would say the 112 is the replacement. Others would argue that the 112 is almost a direct replacement for the 92 instead. Tough call and I don't have any direct experience. Maybe someone else might be willing to offer their input.
Sonically, you can read about the differences on many other threads. Do a search on "new sound" or "reference" or "new vs old" etc. Much has been written about the 112/150 and the 72/140 with and without caps.

Actually I was hoping that for a vinyl front end like mine (LP12/ARO/Armagedon/Adikt) a Stageline/Hi-Cap2 and 5i would do the trick. Price around € 2.900,-.
If this combi wouldn't be up to scratch then a 202/Hi-Cap2/150 + Stageline might be the best option. Price of this combination where I live is around € 5.800,-, or about two times as much.
The 72 is quite a stunner if you have a good vinyl front end, so the third option IMO would be to combine a second hand (around € 600,-) 72 with a new Hi-Cap2 and 150.
Have fun & welcome to the forum,

Equivalent would be 202/hicap/150
I haven't heard a 202/hicap/150, but the 202hicap/200 is a good sounding combination .
However, I won't be trading my CD2 /72 /hicap /140 /Intro's.
The system sounds very musical and just as enjoyable to listen to as my CDS1/52/supercap/250/SBL's.
If you don't need remote, then 72/hicap/140 is going to be cheaper than 202/hicap/150.
The 72hicap/140 is a great combination.
