Posting Images -again!

Posted by: Stephen Bennett on 11 February 2005

Hi all

I thought I'd got this sorted, but obviously not!

I have an image on my webserver. I type in the URL after clicking on the 'add image' icon in the posting window.

I just get the URL in the post.
What am I doing wrong?

Regards

I think it works.

But you have to remove the ':undefined' bit in the IMG tag. Trial and error rules the day!

Stephen;

I am indebted to fellow contributors here, for directing me to Image Shack.

Easy peasy and free - Best to register, so you can access your own hosted pics. Beside each thumbnail, a URL is marked 'Forums'. You just copy and paste that link. IMG tags are included in it.

Just testing the image facility. I used to have a CJ Walker 55 turntable like this, you don't see many for sale

FWIW there's clearly a bug in the Infopop eve software. Perhaps Adam should report it.

If you use the image button in the full reply window it produces something that isn't recognised as an image. Doing it manually or via the cut and paste from Image Shack avoids the problem.

Paul, I just used the image button in the reply window and followed your advice above to delete the ':undefined' part from the initial IMG word in the code it produced. I agree that there is a bug --- this is not exactly user friendly.
