Hi there,
What benefits can I expect? More scale, more weight, more speed, more of....???
besides a lighter bank account.... of course!
Cheers

1. A huge upgrade
2. More scale
3. More bass
4. Like a 82 to 52 change
5. More majesty
6. More speed
7. Fast bits faster, slow bits slower
8. Louder (if you want to)
9. Clearer at low volumes (if you want to)
10. Power
Can't think of anything else right now.

In my experience, a 300 is a BIG upgarde from a single 250 (I've only heard the 300 Vs Olive 250)
Wait until you hear female vocals become more real, organic, subtle yet more dynamic, more involving etc.
Wonderful thing.
Until you try active 250's
Computers are supposed to work on 1's and 0's - in other words "Yes" or "No" - why does mine frequently say "Maybe"?......

With your electronics it is the right thing to do and it will make a huge difference. You can hear what CDS3 and 252 can do.

What about treble?
I've just made a home demo of a Bryston BSST14 and one of the benefits of the Bryston over my 250 was treble reproduction.

Bryston amps are very good. I am not surprised.

To make it clear, though I enjoyed the Bryston (price class of 300) it didn't convince me really. Some "rather" details were better. But overall, musically it was very close and I guess a 300 makes it all very clear.
The 300 was and still is my top favourite!!

I've read your comments about NAP 300 and found them very interesting and encouraging.
It's all about music, that's true....

James, If you are trying to suggest that I don't assess anything on musical grounds that's a cheap shot and a bit unworthy of you.

With the Bryston you can drive any speakers you like with "unlimited" power. If you choose the NAP300, you still have a limited choice of speakers.

Tuan,
you are right reg. speakers choice. The specific speaker that I use doesn't fall under this category, it works very well. One should also consider room size when choosing an amp/speaker combination, huge rooms probably need a lot of power smaller ones less. The musicality aspect is therefore the one that counts first (here a 300 is certainly not behind a Bryston).
Anyway if one is choosing a very "hungry" loudspeaker Bryston is nevertheless a good option!

With naim you have the benefit of mains optimization.
Sort out the mains and 300 will increase your speakers' options.
