Olive XPS or 250?

Agree with ghunter. I had a CDX/102/NAPSC/Hicap/160. The 160 blew up and I replaced it with a 250. Later on I added the XPS1. Incremental improvements all the way but the big change did not come until I replaced the 102 with an 82.
The 102 in my mind is not satisfying musically. It is superior sonically to a 112 but don't think it is good enough for a bare CDX.

82 isn't an option as I will be going straight to 52 next year.
Thanks for the responses.

Graham
Yes, I have a superb deal on a 52
In the meantime, I have the funds for xps or 250 as they are roughly the same price on the s/h market.
I would never have 52/140. By the time I get the 52, I would already have 250 or xps and would have the funds to purchase the 'missing' link.
My personal preference is for the 250, as this will bring more benefit to the whole system, but I am studying the market to see what bargains appear.
Thanks again!

Go for the 250. I am practically in the same process as I have just gone from 72/Hi/140 and purchased an olive 250. Great improvement all round, especially with a TT only front end. I have just put down a deposit on a CDX2, and will take it home when I can come up with the extra dosh.
My next purchases will be S/Cap followed by 52 and then XPS.
