cd3 case cover removal (or the search for the lost puck...)

Posted by: PeterZ on 11 April 2004

Hello Everyone,

I seem to have misplaced the puck from my CD3 and I suspect it's gone into the innards of the case. I'm willing to search for it in there but am not sure how to remove the case cover. There are some plastic rivets which I'm hesitant to pry off for fear of breaking them.

Does anyone know the correct technique to remove the case cover on a CD3?

Any insights greatly appreciated!

Peter,

the best way to avoid damaging the CD mechansim is to take the player to your dealer and ask him to remove the cover for you. However, if you're willing to take the risk yourself you should go to the main Naim site and download the CD player PIC update notes. Inside this document are instructions for opening up the CD player: http://www.naim-audio.com/products/intro_manuals.html

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the quick reply. The directions you pointed me at are just what I needed. Once I opened it up, inside was Mr. Puck, hiding at the side of the case Smile

Thanks again!
