Tivoli Radio problem

I recently purchased a Tivoli Radio Model 1. When I use it in conjunction with my CD player it distorts badly if I listen to anything with a rather dense texture - such as BB King, Steve Earle, etc - at any volume. It sound very much like a blown speaker to me except it does the same thing when I listen through headphones. I can't say I am very impressed at this point! Any suggestions ot has anyone has a similar problem?

I’ve had a Model 1 for well over a year and haven’t experienced any problems. Just bring the unit back, and ask for a replacement.

How does it sound with the radio??

Do you mean you are feeding the CD player into the Tivoli, using the tivoli amp and speaker to listen to CD's? (using the Aux in socket on the back of the Tivoli). if this is the case are you sure your cable is OK? I know the Tivoli can do this but the main function surely is as a stand alone Radio!
