Hi-Fi recording by Prince?

Posted by: JBoulder on 02 February 2005

I have my iTunes shuffling through my 3000 song music library whilst I work (at home, lucky me) and today a song by Prince I thought I've never listened to, popped up. It's the last song on his 3 CD Hits collection called Power Fantastic and despite the daft name it sounds pretty amazing. But also weird, as if recorded from the drummers seat.

This was hardly interesting, but just as well, got it of my chest... I'll get me coat.

Ah Prince..
Not exactly my favourite artist' Roll Eyes but one of his pieces of music is on my all time fave list.. & always goes with me to try out a system.. Sign 'o the times.. cept it's on 'picture this' by Billy Cobham, and the singing bit is done by Grover washington Jnr on the sax (some of the best he has ever done IMO) Talk about well recorded & dynamic range.. real speaker / system reolving stuff, as well as being a bloody good piece of music!

I was in a band called Hi-Fi once, we recorded a tune of Prince's titled "When You Were Mine"; but that thread would be "Prince recording by Hi-Fi?".
