Hoi Zäme (.. Swiss slang for "G'day"..)

I started the thread below.

What are your thoughts ?
Which brand power cord did you get with your Naim gear ?
Are you acutally using it? I'm using audio agile cords, which were recommended by my dealer.

Regards

Audio Agile power cord is good.
I use it myself in my system.
You should also try Van den Hul power cords: so much better and very competitively priced.
Van den Hul Mainstream for power amps and Van den Hul Mainserver for cd players and pre-amps.

With regards to power cables i would be careful which ones you use as naim state that the uk leads MUST have a 13amp fuse in the plug so it won't blow, and presumably there power cables are made using 13amp flex, the mainserver is only designed to carry 10amps.

I'm using a Graham's hydra (yeay!).

you order the stock one and change the plug. Or get a local electrician to change it for you. Asked my dealer about Naim plug quality, he said anything that's halfway good should do the trick.

Regarding plug quality, go for a nice permaplug or duraplug both should be around £1.30-£1.50 in wholesalers, avoid rs as they rebadge the duraplugs and volex plugs as rs and diy stores as they are a rip off at £2.00 a time, or go for the mk safety plug £1.98 in white £2.25 in black but again probably cheaper in wholesalers.
