Interconnects and Speaker Cable and Naim

I just installed a Naim CD 5i and NAIT 5i into a small system. I was using Audience Au24 speaker cable previously and that's what I currently have with the Naim. But I read in a post here the Au24 design is inappropriate with Naim. If this is true, first, will it damage my components? Second, I love Au24, have for a long time. What would be an equal but Naim-appropraite option? Thanks.
