It looks like some intellectual snobbery going on over here

Change can be a nuisance - I think things (in performance) have got unarguably better.
Those who have left, I regret. Those I have banned - I stand by my decision.

Whilst I do not not necessarily agree with what has been stated on your link to the PFF
I must admitt to being somewhat supprised on my return from a forced absence from this forum at the loss of some of our long term posters who did seem to have a stablising effect on some of the more outrageous of us. The place does seem imo to be a lesser place for their demise.I'm sorry if this offends but I stand by my comments in another thread

Due to my enforced absence on this forum for the last couple of months or so,whilst Tesco.net sorted them selves out, I must admitt to being a bit shocked on my return, by the adsence of quite a few of the long term posters who always had something of interest to say. There does also seem to have been concurrently, unfortunately a influx of some contributors that seem to be more interested in self promotion rather than some of the more interesting debates we have had on world affairs etc. in the past. Whilst I hope that your aspirations for the forums future are fulfilled, but after scanning the postings for the last few days, and noting there contents, I have a nagging doupt, People of the caliber of those that have "moved on" will be very difficult, if ever, to replace, and imo will be, and already are sadly missed A very sorry affair
oldie.
And I do think, unlike some, that these people are/were important, unless we wish to see this forum sink to the level of contribitors just posting with the intension of achieving a high posting score in a short time ,without actully contributing anything worthwhile, to the detriment of this forum. This is one of those occasions when sadly, I would probably agree with what I think, would be Micks feelings, Mick where ever you are,if I'm incorrect I opologize
oldie.

Careful making comments about the Fish in here - you'll be branded a loser.
This place certainly seems faster and more stable - there are obviously ongoing changes in progress.
More dull? Well, as stated in another thread, I guess that all depends on what you want from a forum.
So who had been banned and who's just wandered off I wonder?
Cheers

Jesus wept.
This internecine quoting of threads from one forum to another is repetitive and tiresome.
If there's one practice I'd like to see banned, it is this.
There are more important things in life, I would have thought.
