Well, well -- and I thought I was the only one on the forum with RokONEs.
They would be fine with a NAIT 3, and even better with 552/500
.
I have run them with NAIT 1, 42/160, 62/160, 62/HiCap/160 and 72/HiCap/2 x 160s. I think they are excellent for their size and price and in our room they manage to sound vastly better than they cost.
RokONEs will reward you handsomely when you upgrade your source. The can sound coloured, but you don't notice after a hour or so as they are excellent at playing music, without smearing and "overhang". They are very like an Epos ES14 but probably not as good (technically) in the treble, while being a bit more pitched in the bass. This is probably because the port is on the front, which made them much easier to get working properly in our room. They like heavy, pillared stands (hint: not Atacama) but too much mass kills them. Mana SoundBases under the stands work very well, etc, etc... but all this you probably know.
What you may not know, is that there were two configurations of RokONE made. If the serial numbers (on the back by the sockets) have an "F", then this model was built for use in free space away from walls. If there is no "F", then you have the ones designed to go closer to the wall (ours are like this, and all the above refers to them). The difference is in the crossover and the bass/mid driver used (Morel), with the "close to wall" ones having almost no crossover at all -- just a capacitor in the tweeter wiring. This means that if you bi-amp them, you actually have less electronics between the preamp and the drivers than with a full Naim active system. This makes them one of the very few speakers for which biamping is worth considering. 52, SuperCap and 2 x 250s would be nice, and actually not at all overdoing it.
Apart from that, the smallest change which makes the biggest improvement is the removal of the link peices on the two sets of sockets. With a single amp, they should be wired like this using Naim plug pins:
NACA5 cable is essential to get the best out of them with a Naim amp(s). Are yours black, or "Golden Alder"?
Best;
