Help on 52 volume knob
Posted by: leeto on 15 March 2004
I gotten a used 52 and discovered that the volume knob has sunk in when compared to the balance knob. How do I pull that out? Any screws that I need to loosen?
Would want to try not to bring the set to my local dealer as it will probably incur unnecessary down time.
Any insights is greatly appreciated.

Pull?
Hmmm...Just to make sure you all did not get me wrong, the piece that sunk in is the inner plastic knob which has the LED mounted on, not the outer rubber surround and knob. So, should I just really pull that?

Remove the rubber band and all will be obvious.

rockingdoc,
I did that and it's still not obvious to me. Maybe I am a bit dumb. Could you fill me in? Thanks.

The nut that secures the vulume pot to the front panel may have become loose. Carefully prise of the rubber ring and have a peek.....as Rockingdoc has suggested, it should then be clear

Thanks for the tips.
Took a second look and voila...I found the hole where I can insert a screwdriver to tighten the nut that holds the knob to the pot.
Goes to show again how wonderful this forum is.
