52 problem

Posted by: Goldstar on 29 March 2004

My 52 refused to change channels on the record side only, even pressing the relevant buttons produced on response.
Switching the supercap off waiting 5 mins and switching back on cured the problem.
Is this a sign of problems to come?

Any info. gratefully received.

I understand you can lock the record input by pressing the "record" (?) key four times in six seconds. Could this have been what happened?

Hi Mike,
That could be the explanation, but I seem to recall that it didn't react to the first press.
Just have to wait and see if it happens again.
The kit is left on all the time and had been sitting unused all day.

Thanks for the info.

You can lock/unlock the record buttons by depressing the input "Mono" button 4 times.

It's stated in the manual.

IF all else fails, turn of the S/cap, wait 30 secs then power up again.
