The desert island disc

So, your entire music collection is about to be destroyed. You can save one disc/album, and it will be the ONLY one that you can keep.

In other words, you only have one CD/album to listen to for all time. What would it be?

Simple in my case (as long as I forget Maria Callas in Tosca with de Sabata, not to mention Carlos Kleiber doing wonders with Beethoven's Fifth and Seventh Symphonies).

It's got to be Jeff Buckley's "Grace".

I had the privilege of seeing Jeffrey Scott Buckley four times before he died so unfairly. His only completed CD is a thing of wonder.

Aja is a great album, Gaucho is also a great listen with some fantastic playing on it.

My album would be Jon Strong though.

Then maybe Donald Fagens nightfly....

Good albums, but aren't you a bit sick of them? Think I'd go MAD if I ever heard Maxine again!

Would have to be The Moody Blues 'Seventh Sojourn'

Out of all my record collection, that is the one that's still does it.

Alright, I'm not alone as a Moodies fan! Days of Future Passed, In Search of the Lost Chord and On the Threshold of a Dream would all be candidates for my one disc (if I hadn't already chosen Magical Mystery Tour...).

Nirvana Unplugged in New York.
If I could get a copy on Vinyl that would be even better.

I have one, so should be available...
Can't remember my source, maybe eBay or Amazon ?

Nirvana Unplugged, etc

If you want/need this on vinyl, go to www.acousticsounds.com. They're based in Kansas, and are showing this for $20, ex postage. They have a wide selection of vinyl, plus some rather tasty audiophile gear (I got my Grado RS1s from them).
