Speakers for my New Naim Purchase
Posted by: 74impala on 15 March 2004
I just bought a naim system s/h. I now have a Nait 3 with flatcap. I'm planning on using an original Rega Planet. My problem is now choosing speakers. There's a pair of used Into 2's for sale that I'm thinking about. But they're 1200 miles away so an audition is impossible. My room is 14'x17'. Anyone have an opinion?

The Intro´s 2 speakers are good to work with a Nait.- But I prefer the Epos M 12 or 15
MY system : Naim Nait 5 amplifier,Naim cd 5 ,Epos M 15 speakers,Naca5,FC2

Epos's would be perfect, but don't forget the old Neats, they also work well with Naim electronics,

Buy the Intro 2's - you won't be dissapointed I'm sure.
They're a great speaker on the end of any Nait (though I haven't tried them on a Nait 2 or 5i)
I have a pair of Intro 2's in a room that's about 17x17 feet.
Bearing in mind new Arriva's on the horizon, don't pay too much!!!!!!
Computers are supposed to work on 1's and 0's - in other words "Yes" or "No" - why does mine frequently say "Maybe"?......

Intro 2's have evolved through various incarnations. The earliest ones had a very rudimentary internal x-over and were poorly received.
An external 'SBL type' x-over was introduced, and that was superceded by a much better internal x-over.
The latest incarnation aquired the much better Credo cabinet and are superb v.f.m. I use a pair.
