Sorry I couldn't find the original post on this (thanks whoever you were) but I just checked and my order for the first night's recording has just been shipped from the US. Comments to follow next week.

Hi Tom,
It was me Here.
Did you go to any of the concerts? If so it will be good the read about the quality of the Live Recording.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the link. Sorry but I wasn't at any of the concerts. I'm afraid my days of taking an 800 mile round trip to see a concert are long gone. I expect the CD by the end of the week and will let you know how it sounds. Hopefully this time they've got the hang of the "disk at once" option when copying the CDs. Their last internet offering had an annoying and totally unnecessary 2 second gap between each track!

It would also be good to know which was the best show in terms of performance (presumably all 4 set lists were similar)
What did the "shipping" and "sales tax" come to by the way Tom?

Shipping etc was about an extra 5 quid so the total came to just over 20 quid. This is for "International Priority Mail" which I believe is slightly faster than normal air mail (it's coming from the US) so can't really complain.
The set lists are all on the site but briefly the first two nights are identical, the others a bit shorter.

My God, how did I miss this thread?
I was at the 22/03/04 gig at The Forum and it was the best concert I've been to.
Thanks chaps for posting this info.
Is this place in The States the only place to buy it?

Count.d,
I can find no reference to it anywhere else.

It arrived today and I confess my initial reaction was not terribly favourable. Recording quality was superb but Roger's vocals seemed a bit off and believe it or not the intro to Substitute was fluffed. However that was on a scan through after not enough sleep and a bit of a hangover. I've just listened to the whole album after a few beers, and no hangover. It's really good. It's not Live at Leeds but it's far better than you have any right to expect it to be. My Generation doesn't sound ludicrous and the coda to The Kids Are Alright seems firmly established and is both apt and touching.
Packaging is crude (like the Pearl Jam live albums) but that's ok, and it's all for charity anyway. Roger's final words are particularly amusing and smokers should take note!
A must buy for fans, and many others would also enjoy.

Tom,
I received mine this morning.
After reading your post I wasn't expecting much, but after opening mine, I was pleasantly suprised to say the least.
The packaging is superb and costs far more than the nasty standard plastic cases supplied with every other cd. I really can't see how you can descibe it as crude.
The sound is fantastic, Roger's vocals pretty damn spot on.
I would go to say it's one of the best cd's I've got and I'm not exaggerating.
This is an unedited full live performance with all the crowd pushing screams of "back off you fucking twat, how near d'yer need to get", but no one took any notice of me as they forced me against the front barrier 5ft from Roger.
I love these little gems that turn up once in a blue moon and I would advise anyone to buy this one.
Although I maybe a little biased, as I was there and bought the t-shirt (or two).

Count.d,
Sorry if I didn't make myself clear but I think it's an amazing album. Superb performance and recording. Even more so if it's an unedited version of the concert.
The packaging is a cardboard (probably recycled) folder printed in two colours using what looks like the printing kit I had as a kid. No info whatsoever except tracklist and date. Sorry but I find this crude, and I'd guess it's a deliberate effort to look like a bootleg. I'm not complaining as I hate the standard jewel box but I wouldn't reckon it's done this way for any other reason than to be cheap. And I have no problem with that.
Maybe some day we'll get a proper live package covering the early seventies when they were playing Who's Next live at their most energetic.

Tom, Count.d,
After your positive reviews I will now buy with confidence.
You may be interested in these 'Live' Pete Townshend recordings Here. I went to the Sadlers Wells Concert and it ranks in my Top 5. The Concert was Acoustic in the first half featuring the LCO and they were spellbinding, second half was the Group and Electric. I have been meaning to get this, so your review of the Who has nudged me again. The Maryville CD is worth hunting down as well, mainly due to Jon Carin's Keyboard playing (who appeals to me more than Rabbit).
