iPod Q...where are my Playlists?

Posted by: Ron Toolsie on 06 February 2005

I have a Gen3 40 Gig ipod. I have been creating playlists using iTunes which work great. But on the machine itself, there is no 'Playlist' option when I go to 'Browse'. I have tried dragging the playlists on iTunes to the iPod icon but still no go. I know I have seen pictures of G3 iPods with an on-screen Playlist option. I hate to restore my machine defaults as this would probably erase the 8000 songs I have spent months adding.
Any suggestions how to get access to Playlists without iTunes?

Here is a link of a picture I have taken of my machines screen when I go to 'Browse'.

Ron the playlist option by default appears in the menu before browse, if you cannot see this goto settings>main menu and activate it.

Thanks....for the first time in almost a year, I now have my Playlist function. This will make long roadtrips easier and safer.

If you set a playlist whilst out and about (select each tune you wish to hear and hold the centre button until it flashes, this will get uploaded to yur computer.

You can also set smart playlists which can for instance create a playlist of your most frequently listened to songs, or year of release etc.
