Is there anything that makes you think it doesn't?

I seem to remember reading about a certain olive component that doesn't work with the new style component as you would expect (or vice versa). I can't remember which items it was exactly but it's made me slightly wary.
Was it the flatcap 2 perhaps?!?!?

Should be no problem. A 112 is designed to accept its power supply from a power amp.

It can also be happily powered by olive hi-caps and flat-caps.

I tried the 112/140, 102/150 combinations about three years ago and the 140 was actually better than a 150 when used with a 112. Despite being less powerful on paper than a 150 it actually sounds more dynamic and more powerful.

Blue Oyster Cult?
Aren't you showing your age?
They were a great band and I've listened to them to using a 72/hicap/140/SBL's.
The 140 rocks fine, with Blue Oyster Cult et al.

Peter,
The point was that the 140 is starting to show its age, and however fine it is, I would not choose it over a new 150, or 200. But as you say, I am old enough to remember hearing "Don't Fear the Reaper" on the regular radio rotation.
Perhaps I need to be upgraded.
