stacking NAIM
Posted by: aloysiuschan on 01 May 2004
Hi
Would like to know if I stackup my Naim on the floor in the following:
1. CD5
2. Nait5
3. FC2
Would it affect the sound of the PRAT ?
Please advise.

I don't know about the PRAT or whatever term you wish to use, but I don't think it would sound as good as just a CD5/Nait5 on a proper equipment rack.
Regards,
Steve.

It's best to seperate the components so at least fc2 is not near cd5 and nait5.
The floor???

thks guys.
I have space constrain thats why I am stacking my NAIM.
I am thinking of MANA rack instead of FRAIM.
My dealer mentioned to space FC2 9inch away from Nait5 / CD5.

Mana can be very reasonably priced if bought used from somewhere like
www.hififorsale.com. Any rack is better than nothing, as with my PC which lives on the floor in my office, it will collect serious dust which could get inside. It will inevitably get bashed, kicked and hit with the vacuum cleaner. The floor will kill it.

Do Mana do a PC stand? Phase 17 would make it faster
