Very weird.

Sister sites seem to fall into two 'conspiracy camps', the Israeli/Jewish plot camp and the 'G W Bush did it' camp.

Apparently there was a programme on TV tonight at 9.30pm about the conspiracy theories but I missed it. Did anyone catch it?

I would like to see the TV-photage as it was shown to the public on 9/11 before I make any comment (this might be fake). Anyone knows if it's stored somewhere, like at CNN?

Or it might be re-relayed tomorrow on every TV-channel in the world.

My favorite conspiracy theory on 9/11 is the fourth plane that never hit anything. I have learned that mobile phones doesn't work from an aeroplane (it travels to fast, the cell network can't keep up to the speed). So where people really phoneing home? Where people really trying to take control of the plane from the terrorists?

The link is quite fun, but like so many conspiracies it is great at poking holes in the accepted version but fails to present a reasonable alternative.

A 757 went missing, where else did it go?

I suppose the obvious queston is "why" ?

Why fake an attack ? What does that gain you ?

Nothing to win, everything to lose ?

Brian OReilly

And another thing, if it was not as reported wouldn't that be a gift to Al Q***** ?

ie "your government is lying to you, we actually used a rocket/exec jet/something else etc"

There is of course a timing factor to. NY is hit and then having only minutes to decide "Okay, let's do a fake one our selves.".

Not probable.

In the short term it united the country and some of the world behind the George W but in the longer term George W pissed away this goodwill and unity by adopting a divisive foreign policy coupled with a somewhat draconian and Orwellian homeland policy directed towards “anyone who is not one of us”. The external foe looking a bit different or speaking slightly differently or worshiping another God has in the past often been used by those in power as a means of deflecting internal unrest or dis-satisfaction towards an external enemy.

Sorry Roy,

I meant why fake an attack on the Pentagon. I understand the theory behind faking ALL the attacks.

Brian

I've been in a plane in flight when someone has taken a call on their mobile phone.

Having watched the CH4 Conspiracy programme last night, it totally blew away the missle attack theory.

The only thing for me that came out of the programme, was that the American Government and Intelligence Agencies were guilty of complacency and incompetence.

You can't trust either the material used to make conspiracy theories, or the governments reports. What does frighten me is that the almost daily terrorist attacks by Islamic extremists will eventually have the effect of turning the world against Islamic religions wholesale. Then we are really in trouble. Standing side-by-side with the true Islam is the only way to fight this because they are the only ones who can deal with it without it being outside agression. Why it isn't already happening is beyond me.

half these people still believe Kennedy was shot by the CIA or KGB, there's always going to be nutters spouting this drivel.

I think the two points above are pretty dificult to overcome. If the Pentagon was faked then where is the missing plane (abducted by aliens perhaps) and the timing issue.

Greeny,

It wasn't the CIA or KGB; it was the Mob. Wink

Geez, I wish you guys would get your facts straight. Roll Eyes

Excuse me but I have to go replace my tin-foil helmet - they are listening you know...

It is happening Rasher but much of the 'standing side-by-side' must be instigated by the true Islamists and it will take time. Here's a piece that may give some hope: Abdelrahman al-Rashid's article in al-Arabiya

I thought the C4 programme was really good. Especially the nicely understated way they said 'the theory that the Pentagon was struck by something other than a 757 has one unfortunate flaw - the hundreds of eyewitnesses who saw a 757 fly straight into the side of the building.' Big Grin

Good to see a programme like this which knocked down the idiots, while allowing the genuine questions to survive.

That must be an interesting conspiracy theory in itself. Why are "they" telling us that mobiles doesn't work in-air?

Or the other way around. Mobiles don't work, but the man you saw, Steve, was someone from CIA who spend his time in air receiving faked telephone calls to fool us Big Grin

Could be, but as it was a few years back then "they" must have been planning it for a while!
