Use nait 5 as a power amp

Posted by: Klva on 28 April 2004

Hello,
My current system is cd5 + nait5 + fc2 + naca5 + speakers.
I'm given the possibility to buy a brand new NAC112 at half price... Thus I want to use my Nait5 as power amp (I'm not rich enough to buy a NAP150). My FC2 will then power CD5 + NAC112.

Does anybody know how to connect these units ? Naim shows how to do with 112 / 150 but that's all...

Regards
Klva

It's sort of in the Nait5 manual. The Signal Out A from the Flatcap goes to Input on the Nait5.

Power Out A on the Flatcap will be coming from the 112.

You may be better off hunting down a cheap nap150 and using the nait pre.
