Okay, I went to see Jill Scott at the Manchester Accademy this weekend - and she blew my mind away! Amazing music! Now if I like the music of Jill Scott - can anyone suggest any other artists I should consider having a listen to?

Jill Scott is great. Check out her new album 'Beautifully Human' Words and Sounds Vol 2. Her first album 'Who is Jill Scott' is great also.

If you like this you will probably like things from 'Common', 'Maxwell', 'Rafael Siddique' and compilations from Gilles Peterson.

Angie Stone's- Mahohgany Soul and Black Diamond(?) are worth a punt in a similar vein.

Obviously 'The misseducation of Lauren hill' is pretty much essential.

Even Miss Dynamitee's album has similarities.
