There are plenty to choose from, but today it has to be:
Patrick Stewart

I wouldn't say lovely, but nicest, Shane Richie.

Fern Britton

Philip Schofield is a nice bloke, but the real answer is Joanna Lumley, who is exactly as lovely as you used to imagine that Felicity Kendall was (and may be / have been for all I know).

But mon dieu, isn't there, er, quite a bit more to Fern Brittan that there used to be?

I obviously have resisted television for longer than I thought I had.

Rod:

I was thinking the same thing. And last time I saw Schofield, he was a slip of a lad. Astonishing what can happen when you've been away a few years - every bugger gets old.

The ever so saintly Joan Bakewell CBE.

I think Philip Schofield is a genuinely nice bloke.

Joan Bakewell is just an old tart.
I know, I know,....I just couldn't resist.

Without a doubt - Rachel de Thame Smile

I'll second Rachel de Thame !

And place a vote for Nigella Lawson.

Fern Britton - she is married to a chef so that might be an answer........

Tim Marlow, definitely. And Joan Bakewell. Both erudite, knowledgeable without being show-offs, and possessed of winning smiles.

But I think that Rachel de Thame and Fiona "Her Eyebrows Promise So Much" Bruce are lovely too (but that may be because I fancy them). I also have a soft spot for Brian Sewell for some reason also.
