Whils't just watching a glimpse and a snippet of Wimbledon on Germany's excellent DSF Sports Channel, I only spied a certain Lord Gnome clapping away and looking nonchelant, which really made my day I must admit, though I hope he get's back to his desk soon, cos it just ain't cricket, really.

I hope though lots of other folk make it down there on time on what promises to be a schoolboys dream², I can't help wondering though if it had been more efficient, quicker (certainly cheaper) and faster to commute there in Horatio's day ?

I still find it absolutely astounding that there's not been one mention of the fact that Victory was almost never repaired, mind blowing hypocrisy in my book. Victory's Captain: Thomas Hardy would no doubt have said 'Fuck em all your Lordship', you see if one can soooo easily wash away this little bit of 'recent' British History as if it had never happened, just think what else Did or Didn't happen either ??? innit:

Not that Germany's too famous for organising party's, I can't help but wonder in UK over the Live 8 ticket fiasco, where there's double dealing mega queues, police concern etc, etc, and here at the Brandenburg gate (can handle 1 million + folk) we'll just saunter along to the concert, or watch it on tv & screens, no fuss, no stress, no bullshit, no tickets, Now why is this ?

To repeat myself, it'll be interesting to see if Ariel Sharon can finally gain some International as well as internal respect at last by actually implimenting his removal of occupyers ruling ? As anywhere else in the 'Whole Wide World' Israeli's must finally realise that 'Irrespective of their backgrounds' if they violently oppose their own security forces they will very likely be hurt, arrested, and much much, worse, Cos as we all know 'Yer cannie have yer cake and eat it in the real world, innit'.

Maybe the real reason for the ticket fiasco at Hyde Park yesterday was the 'controlling' of alcohol into it's midst, ie, none was allowed in, unlike fortunately here, where tickets were not required anyway, as I said afore, innit.

I was very suprised indeed that the Taliban were blamed for the recent shooting down of an American helicopter ?

Having just enjoyed a nice afternoon tea, of toast & the rest of my Danish Cheese (don't mention the cheese) covered with smidgeons of Thai chilli sauce suprise suprise, and all washed doon with an ice cold bottle of Beck's, I watched the local evening news in amazement. "German Law:::" A guy in his early 20's goes down 15 years back for raping and killing two women (he's never denied the crimes). He's now served his time (this guy is obviously a 'nutter', but intelligent, educated, and skinhead looking, though no Lager lout (in my opinion) and was just openly filmed grinning away in court (obviously his identity is widely known).
The German Constitution now cannot allow his release, as it's bound to protect him, as it cannie ensure his safety (fair enough, I wonder why ?) so where do we go from here, as he's not looking for a new identity etc, and wants to carry on as normal. What a quandry eh ? Now obviously many will say the obvious (especially any involved - Me included ) that his survival on the street would be limited to put it mildly, but as Our Micjk says ' The Law's der Law, innit .

As an interesting contrast (which maybe somebody in the know can better explain ?) A sixteen year old was sentenced today at London's Old Bailey (Highest Court in the land) to 'life' imprisonment for raping a teacher at his Westminster school a year ago. This means (as I understand it) that he'll serve a minimum of 9 years, but may well be elligible for parole after 4-5 ?
I wonder why highly intelligent and educated populations constantly let successive governments totally take the piss out of them ?

After the jolly telly japes this evening about all the special 'Blitz Spirited' folk who partyed in London tonight and said to hell with the bastard's as well as all those poor chaps and chappesses staying in reasonable hotels at the firms expense to-boot.
