I suppose what with vehicles being valuable and insured, it's a criminal offence to leave an incident without reporting it first ? A friend of mine some years ago was actually arrested one night in Hamburg (twas my birthday) as he, his wife, and my better half of the time and myself
celebrated into the early hours. It was -17°C ish and he stopped a cop car passing by the busy R-Bahn and asked them to get an ambulance for some pissed tramp who'd just been chucked onto the street for having no moey left. The cops argued, he argued back, and he was nicked, in between his wife rang an ambulance, and the rest was history. She being a nurse, and he being an A&E Doctor I recdkoned knew their stuff, and the guy simply would have died otherwise from cold. As an afterthought in this very cold City as wello as others suprisingly few homeless/Drunks etc, die on the streets over winter, in comparison to say Liverpool, even a couple of strategic tube stations are opened for them to crash in the warm, I reckon it'd take another War for that to happen in London without having the right kind of ticket, innit ?

Just got myself my first ever digital camera this morning (cos I was sick of waiting for one I'd been promised), got all the bits and bobs to go with it, and the guy also advised me to get a bigger media card, which I duly did 128 MB, and have just unpacked it all to find that it's the wrong size card. Having just returned from the afore-mentioned shopping emporium to exchange the camera card for the correct sized one, I must say I was pleasantly suprised. Not only did the young guy aplogise to me for my inconvenience, he immedialtely gave me the new one (which costs considerably more) and told me there was no extra charge, and subsequently started my day off rather nicely. I'd find it difficult to contemplate being treated the same way in London, especially as tghe pack had been opened etc, and I'd have a German accent to-boot, am I right or am I right ?
Visiting my local market nearby on the way back the Catholic xchurch was peeling away its bells for JPII, and I thought to myself it's not often in this town that a Polish individual gets so much positive attention, and that's a fact, innit.
