Self employed registering Ltd
Posted by: count.d on 14 June 2004
Well, after turning Ltd 20 months ago with very little hassle or costs, I have just paid my tax bill on the 1st June and saved a grand total of £3,300. This was for less than a year's trading as I registered late.
Crazy and unfair, but there you go.
So, all you sole traders who weren't advised by your accountants to register Ltd, can now go and sack them and find an efficient one.

Thanks Alex. I've signed a few forms, but they all look the same to me.
I'll have to check.

Alex,
I've just come off the phone after shouting abuse at my accountants for not having my Form 42 delivered by 6th April and I've sacked them. I now know what it's like to be Mick.
I have just seen your last post and I'm thinking what to say to to my past accountants.

This Form 42 lark is just what we need.
What did Brown say about reducing the regulatory burden on business?
So what do the Revenue do - create a whole new reporting requirement (carrying hefty penalties for failure to report on time) which they fail to publicise.
W*****s the lot of them.
