Just ordered "the Y years" online. Including the fabulous singles "lined up" and "my spine is the bassline" amongst others.I think Shriekback was a very underrated band.

I have Big Night Music on vinyl and haven't played it for ages - will remedy that tonight.

Was "little Birds" the b side for "My spine...", and did you see the band on tv?

I remeber seeing them on something like the tube or poss riverside looking like a bunch of hari krisnah followers in the early eighties.

I still have the 12" single somewhere and will look it out now you have reminded me about it.

Ooops Tiny Birds not Little Birds.

Dug out the 12" single and the best track is "Feelers", very dark you can see where Massive Attack got inspiration for Mezzanine

Shriekback are pure genius!

Fave albums are Jam Science and Oil and Gold.
