Schuberth C2 Crash Helmet

Posted by: Adam Meredith on 09 January 2005

Has anyone used this model. I am easing myself toward purchase, as it seems to offer most of what I want (except the price), but you never know until you've lived with one.
The front flip up IS a positive (I wear spectacles) - so long as there is no significant reduction in protection.

What Phil writes is true.
I've spent years on a car driving fron city to city to meet clients and i saw such things a could write a book.
Anyway driving carefully is always a good thing.

I do agree in the use of close face helmets.
In case of crash nobody want to leave their face on the asphalt.

One of my interests outside of hi-fi is Escrima, the Philipino art of stick fighting. When we spar we wear cheap full-face motorbike helmets as protection. I had to replace my helmet recently because I took a full force strike from a 16 inch rattan cane to the visor and it split in two and a second shot put a dent into the top. I don't ride bikes anymore but it made me realise that cheap helmets don't give you as much protection as you might think. If I still had my Norton i would be wearing the most expensive full face helmet I could afford
