I think there should be a separate thread where AV systems can be shown.
Anybody witha projector and a Naim system? Please show and tell.

John Gilleran, yours is the only set up I would take for my domestic environment.

Hi Jon,
Sure, the one for the TV is a Quadraspire QKAV.

Cost around £900 I think. I also think you can buy it with spikes now if you like.
Just bought some Kef Ref 205's this afternoon!

Thanks Simon - a bit beyond my budget I'm afraid, but it looks great in your system!
Congrats on the Kefs, front or rear speakers?
Cheers,
Jon

Welcome to the forum Greggles.
Nice set up, even if it is a bit dated....the FMJ kit is meant to sound quite nice...what's your current set up....??
Also - Could I be the first to point you in the direction of - http://imageshack.us - which most if us use when posting pics on this forum. It saves people scrolling left/right to see your images, a pet hate of mine, but also saves them having to do the same for the rest of the thread.
If you register before you upload an image it means you can visit your images page at any time in the future.....
Cheers,
Ali

Hi
Not a Naim AV kit but pretty good for what's intended. The 2ch stereo system is in a different room, mainly naim though.
InFocus Screenplay 4800 PJ||2.3m wide 16/9 home made screen||Brainwave/Momitsu V880 dvd||Sony MDP-650D Laserdisk AC-3 mod||JVC 4700S SVHS Video||Nokia 9800S Digital Sat Receiver||Denon AVR-3803 receiver||Mirage 895's main||Mirage MC-2 center||Mirage 595's rear||Mirage AVS 100 back surround||Rel Q100E Sub
Now this is more likely. My pride and joy.
LP12/Ittok/dl103,cd3.5/FlatCap/,72/HiCap/180,Neat Mystique's 2,naim IC's,NACA5,DIY rack,SO table with dedicated mains/earth spur.
PS: Please don't mention the word "upgrade". Both systems suit me fine and like most of us, I've got other priorities in life.
Cheers,
Pedro

Pedro,
Could you comment on the performance and user-friendliness of said player? There's one for sale here in Holland, and I think I'm interested...
Cheers,
Edo

Sorry Edo. I've only just noticed your query. The Sony 650D was one of the best laserdisk players in terms of pic and sound quality in those days. The AC-3 mod was a big plus also. I hardly use it these days for video replay but still use it as cd source on the AV system whenever I want to play music.
Hope this helps,
Cheers
Pedro
