I have just watched the pilot episode. This looks a very promising new series.

I taped it & I'll watch it ASAP.

I have a pretty high regard for US sci-fi at the moment - what with BattleStar Galactica, Dead Like Me, Odyssey 5, Firefly and even the most recent episodes of Enterprise upping the anti regarding plot, acting and FX. Of course it started with B5. X-Files and Buffy. And I haven't even seen Carnivale yet......

I wonder if the new Dr Who will do the same for UK sci-fi?

Sorry to be a dissenting voice but I thought it was the sort of formulaeic tosh we've seen done a thousand times before in series like X-Files etc. Will we now have to put up with 4400 different sorts of psychic ability being uncovered over the next few weeks?!

Time for a remake of A For Andromeda, especially as the BBC have no copies of the original archived.
