Hi. I just picked up Nils' Acoustic Live cd at a recent concert of his that I attended. It is a very good recording. I'm not sure I have a single best recording. Some of the CDs that I think sound really good include: Marc Cohn - Marc Cohn; new Simon & Garfunkel remasters; Pink Floyd DSOM (easy choice but it does sound great); Dire Straits remasters; Eric Clapton - Unplugged; John Mayer - Heavier Things; Jackson Browne - Hold Out (remastered). Just to name a few. I'll probably think of 20 more over the next day or so.

I'm listening on a temporary setup at the moment and have been v dissappointed with the sound but the newies from Blue Nile and Ella Guru are nice; as is Ani di Franco "Little Plastic Castle"

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen and Body and Soul by Joe Jackson sound excellent on CD.

'Standing In My Shoes' - Leo Kottke.
It has to be USA made.
I concur with Nils Lofgren - 'Acoustic Live'. The guitar sound is magnificent. Again you need the USA made article.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Micahel Brook-'Night Song' on Realworld. Never heard a bad quality recording on Realworld actually.
