powerline conditioner

I am contemplating the use of a powerline conditioner - Chang Lightspeed 6400. I have a friend who lives in NYC who recommends it highly. I would appreciate some advice from others using Naim gear as to whether this will provide any improvement in sound quality from inconsistent or dirty electronic wall source. Currently using cdx/82/250. I appreciate any comments.

I had a Chang (don't remember the model #) that I have on my Sony ES surround sound that works OK. It cleaned up the presentation and removed a veil of haze that I didn't know was there.

On the other hand, when I tried it with Naim it did the opposite. Even gave it a week for everything to warm up. Kind of made it sound like a bad power day full time. After taking it off I noticed an immediate improvement. So off it stays.
