Another iTunes question!

Posted by: Steve Bull on 02 October 2004

I've recorded most of my CDs as AAC though I do have a few MP3 format. Of course, all play perfectly well through iTunes.

I want to record some tracks for a friend to... erm, test out. She's got Windows Media Player so I'm guessing that the AAC ones won't work through that? I tried to write them to CD as MP3 (preferences > burning > disk format = mp3) but only the MPs files were saved and the rest ignored.

Was I doing something wrong? Do I need to convert all the tracks to MP3 first (and if so, how?). Or will the AACs play on Windows media player anyway and I'm fussing about nothing?

Steve im not sure if AAC will play on windows media player, but how about selecting the burn Audio CD option and see if it plays that?

Steve to burn an audio cd:

Create a new playlist (file>new playlist)

Drag the tunes you want into the playlist.

Select the playlist and click burn.

It will prompt you to insert a blank CD, do that and click burn again.

Cheers guys.

I'm happy that I could burn it as an audio CD, but that will take three discs which is why I was hoping to burn it all as MP3.

Oh well, three audio CDs it is then!
