I know its over-hyped but does anyone else care who wins this? I'm almost too nervous to watch.

Apology accepted; you have indeed seen the light.
What team do you support btw?

I'm not a big football fan, but I've followed the Arsenal since I was 8.
This evening I picked up a (friendly) Man-U fan and told him that Arsenal are about to begin a new record...
Going 49 matches without a win.
He laughed, and I knew I could come out with this little joke given how in recent weeks he's been dribbling stuff out when he's been really pissed along the lines of,
"Arsenal are fuckin' Awesome, unreal, superb, hic! we can't touch 'em... ya BA-sterds! Hic!"
He even conceded that the penalty resulting in the first goal was, er, well dodgy...
Regards,
Steve.

Alex S,
Not sure if this was a serious question or not. I support ManU.
To be honest, I do believe Fergie has lost the plot in the past 3 years, even when Arsenal gifted us the title 2 years ago. I have always maintained that he should have retired when he originally intended; I think we all get stale after so long in a job, and need a different challenge.
It is fair enough to criticise Fergie and ManU for current performance, but to denigrate their past success, as Matthew has, is frankly laughable. However good Wenger and the Arsenal team currently are, they stll have a long way to go before they can surpass ManU's achievements over the past dozen years.
The bitterness between both teams has gone way too far now, and both managers have played their part in its continuation. Fergie is a working class bruiser, who turns on anything and everything when things are not going right. Wenger likes to be seen as an intelligent, cultural, urbane individual, but we've all seen that he has just as dark a side as his adversary.
The paranoia and hypocrisy exhibited by both individuals is astonishing.
Terrible thing, jealousy.

Further to previous message:
Fergie's current attempts to involve Henry and Bergkamp - childish and pathetic.
His time would be much better spent sorting out his team's woes after another inept performance on Saturday.

Actually, Steve I agree with nearly all you've said - they are supposed to be grown men.
If I was Wenger (or Ferguson) I'd go on holiday for the game at Highbury and play the reserves - whatever the result it would be something of a coup and at least it would be different players kicking each other.
I don't suppose I'm the first to notice that both teams were crap the week after - all this stupid feud can do is hand the title to Chelsea - nightmare!
