I had a look at the article (I read it first time round a while back) but I remain unconvinced that the 'after' image is really an improvement on the 'before' image. Yes, it's different, but I prefer the tonality of the 'before' image and I find that the 'after' image has imposed a 'processed look' on the image which I'm not so sure about.

I think software like this is probably only of real worth if you're the kind of person who is meticulous about minimising image degrading influences - in other words, a tripod-always, MLU and bracketing every-which-way kind of a guy. I'm generally not - nor have I been since I sold my beloved Mamiya 7 recently - and though I like the idea behind this software, I figure that the benefits will largely be lost on the average, non-tripod-toting amateur like myself...
