Anyone over due on Ebay?

Posted by: garyi on 25 September 2004

Got an email from ebay saying my account is over due.

Its not a fraud, its defo from ebay.

I went to ebay from my browser and I am indeed over due. I called first direct and they said that they have had quite a few customers call in with the same problem and its apparently something to do with ebay direct debit set up, the bank says they think they lost my info.

It all seems a bit worrying, anyone else having trouble?

I have gone through the email procedure to ebay, are they good in getting back to you? I could apparently pay through paypal as a one off payment, but would rather they sort my DD out.

Exclusively for ebay, I have a dedicated First Direct bank account with no cheque book or pay-in book - just a card with no pin. I access this on-line and can top it up or empty it accordingly. Costs nothing - but is secure and I can spot immediately what is going on. It has no overdraft facility and cannot be overdrawn - just to be safe.
Recommended.
