BBC News in the morning

Is it just me or have the questions from BBC news in the morning getting more and more stupid?
Also that stupid bint with the accent that does the weather needs to be shot.
I used to respect BBC news, but the morning show has just gone to the pears.

Natasha the air hostess makes me feel nauseous, so I bought a cute vintage Roberts at a market and switched to the Today programme. Dermot and Natasha are sub-ITV. It would take Martha Kearney / Kirsty Wark pairing to get me to switch back.

Good to see that Nigella got a bit of a spanking.

Yes indeed. I don't 'do' mornings very well and the oh so cheery Scottish woman needs a slap with a wet kipper.
Natasha Ker-Plunk is still a ghastly orange colour for some reason.
A friend commented the other day that Channel 4 News at 7pm is what the BBC used to do, before it started catering for cretins with the attention span of a goldfish.

It's difficult to get factual news coverage or interviews anywhere. The best you can hope for is speculation and arguments. Maybe twice a year the BBC will run something that I know a lot about and they always suffer from lousy research on such occasions. The 'in depth analysys' of A Lever results on News 24 was so piss poor as to be pretty much the opposite of fact.
But that's how it is nowadays. Reporters reading press office releases verbatium to camera. Stage managed photo opportunities. Talking heads dishing out sound bites, and so on... The BBC are no worse than anyone else. It's not like they've got anything better to work with.
The news and news type programmes are just another form of entertainment. Factual material is considered too dull and boring to get people's attention.
Cheers

's all about ratings, folks, and the Beeb's long since abandoned Reithian values so that it can get down and dirty with the rest of tat that passes for TV channels nowadaze.
Natasha Ker-Plunk may be an air head but she's pretty and as long as she can read an autocue and there's 'chemistry' with her male co-host then she'll keep pulling in those ratings and the Beeb will keep paying her.
That said she has been embarrassing to watch of late.
Regards,
JonR

"and as long as she can read an autocue"
But she can't! She's always fumbling her words and mispronouncing things. She can't even do dumb blonde very well and is a talentless waste of space.
Unperturbed by this the BBC seems set to make her the new "Face of the BBC" and we are to get even more of her. Although if her godawful performance on the live Restoration final is anything to go by hopefully they have changed their minds.
If you want someone who is not only extremely intelligent, an excellent journalist and a talented presenter, but also about a million times as sexy as Kerplunk (I just don't see her attractiveness at all as I think she looks a bit weird) then the BBC's Mishal Hussein is your woman.

If we are moving presenters around, can I swap you our Sally Taylor for your Nina Hossain.

Yeah, maybe, but you get Barbie, we get Zelda from the Terrahawks.

Dead Ringers gave me a good laugh a couple of days age when before my ears Kate Adie was given the choice of being transformed into a Stepfordesq Sophie Raworth type news reader or to be banished for ever by joining the uglies over at News24.

Fair do's Matthew - I suppose I was being generous but yeah, why not, she's absolutely hopeless.
