I see them every time they roll into town.
The funny thing about the Cowboy Junkies- although they're known as the premiere purveyors of methadone-country, I think their true strengh lies in "rocking out". A feat they reserve for live gigs, apparently.

Recent stuff is great, p s c moon is a fave, they've continued on in the same vein, cool-ly emotional, Lay it down, open, miles from our home are always on the top of my pile one soul now is the new one which is sublime.. do try to see them let us know..

Yup I've got 'em all. In fact, I've bought their discography 3 times over! I once kept their CDs in a flip-book which was summarily stolen from my car, then my home was broken into and my entire CD collection stolen.

Do you have Whites Off Earth Now? I think that's my favorite- real dark, bluesy and honest.

Agree it's a masterpiece, and the recording and production really is top class, i use it to test tweaks and upgrades..

Bit of bad luck with burglers tho Mike, least they had a bit of taste i guess..
