Just thought I'd recommend this guy to any of you that like Blues/country, singer-songwriter style music.

He's done a swag of albums, all well recorded. There's mp3 tracks on his website to get an idea of each cd.

Hans toured here in N.Z a couple of weeks ago to small but rapt audiences who snapped up his cd's after the gigs. He's currently touring Oz before returning home to Austria.

Recommended albums to start with are:

Bridges (his latest)

I'll second the recommendation, I've got Bridges and it's a great album. Fantastic voice the guy's got and the guitar playing isn't too shabby either!

Thanks for the other album recommendations Rick - I was wondering which one to try next.

Not sure if this should be in the Home Theatre section..but it IS music based.

Han's has just released a DVD 'Han's Theessink Live In Concert, A Blues & Roots Revue'. recorded in Vienna, April 2004 with his band.

It's nicely filmed with good sound. Check it out on his website if your interested.
