Connecting 32.5 to CD5

I have connected the CD5 ( with link plug fitted) to nac 32.5 using 5 pin din 180 (na 46 marked on the cable)- but there is no sound - am i connecting correctly?

If yes then i will Look at the other inter connects. The rest of system is hicap and nap 250. It was wirking fine with Nait5/FC2 before.
Mystified - advice apprecaited.
