I think he deserves all the congratulations he gets, its one heck of a career.

I'm not entirely sure who he is either.

Is he maybe that chap who manages a football team who was about to retire? But then decided to stay on? And then his team goes down one place in the league for each year that he stays on (except that they're much lower than that at the moment)?
