hi all,
we all know there are assholes trying to rip joe public off anyway they can , so i thought i would tip you all off about the latest one to try it on with me. i am currently bidding on a pair of b+w 703s for a mate, tonite i got a dodgy looking email from this nonse saying he could offer me a brand new pair for half price. i have notified ebay for what its worth, but do monkeys like this really think we could be so gullible as to fall for a trick like that!! probably wants a bankers draft sent to indonesia or summit. SO BEWARE CHAPS!
regards, scotty

Greetings Dave;

I have a friend who 'acquired' a brand new pair of £6k Monitor Audio speakers for £1,500 via someone who allegedly worked at the factory.

I never worked out if they were just plain nicked; or the result of a very favourable staff purchase scheme.

Either way - decidedly dodgy.

See you on 1st December.

Sometimes the goods are "real", they just have suspicious origins.

I am very glad that I do not have the slightest inclination to go through all that bidding nonsense.

It plays on the basic psychology that people love to think (and talk about about the fact that) "It was a bargain". Car boot sales thrive on it.

Both are immensely successful of course, and I can't abide either of them. Must be me Winker
