nope, but she is good and have heard her in concert twice. Excellent taste in music.
Life is analogue, enjoy it while you can.

I have only older recordings of Anne Sophie Mutter but really enjoy the heart she puts into her playing.
I had read somewhere that she has gone down the authentic path and is tuning A:430 - but surely this would be only for baroque/classical - not romantic ?

Hello again,
I tried it myself:
My first impressions are very positiv: I've never heard any of her productions so I cannot compare it. But: She is certainly a great player which probably doesn't know any technical problems. Her sound is very colourful and fresh an I also do like the orchestra (André Previn conducts the Wiener Symphoniker). Very good.
And last but not least: So far I've not been a great fan of Deutsche Grammophon recordings (reg. their sound quality). In this case the recording is very convincing: very dynamic, large soundstage and detailed. I love it and can strongly recommend it!
Regards

Followed, Reto !
Bought and listened to her recent Tschaikowsky and Korngold recording, and had no problems to throw away my prejudices. Have seen her in concert >20 years ago, and had liked VERY much waht I heard (in fact, it was the Tschaikowsky concert...), but records had not convinced me, since (maybe too much Karajan influence ?).
This record drives tears to your eyes if you're willing.
Best regards, freundliche Grüße
Stefan

It's actually Korngold, rather than Kornfeld.
I used to have the recording of the Tchaikovsky cto made at the Salzburger Festspiele with an ancient Karajan. Fabulous violin playing, and yet an awful interpretation of the piece. (The Viennese btw can't play Tchaikovsky to save their lives either.)
Mutter is a terrific violinist, but her style of playing has become so utterly pretentious I cannot listen to it. Sorry to be so negative.
Even though I do not have the current recording I am pretty sure there are about a dozen better (and cheaper) recordings available, from Heifetz to the Milstein and so on.
